My aunt passed away this past week and it was sad news because she was only 56 years old. She had a hard, undeserving life, losing her husband to brain cancer when he was in his early 40's, leaving her to raise their son alone. She then developed crippling rheumatoid arthritis and a couple years ago she had to be placed in a nursing home because of it. Through all of this she remained bubbly and optimistic. She will be missed. My dad and step-mom came for the funeral all the way from Texas so it was nice to see them, the silver lining of a dark cloud. No stitching was done while they were here so I have some catching up to do.
Dawn, sorry to hear about your aunt.
ReplyDeleteAll of this grass will be so worth it when you finally are finished & you walk by it and see it on the wall every day :) Perhaps framing it can be an early Christmas present? :) It's looking amazing!
Sorry to hear about your aunt's passing. I know she'll be greatly missed. Have to say the grass story is priceless! Surely your husband knows that what a stitcher says may not mean what he thinks it does, haha.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear your aunt. My thoughts are with your family.
ReplyDeleteLol @ your grass story! It is looking fantastic though.
I'm sorry to hear about your aunt, that's too young to die. When I hear or read stories like that is when i want to believe in reincarnation.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed I had a bunch of new followers on my blog, and you were one of them. I'd never seen your blog before, but I'm so happy to have found it. I love your ATS. Some day I'll bite the bullet and start her, but my track record of finishing large projects isn't very good.
I am so sorry to hear about your aunt. Wow she was young too. Your "And They Sinned" is just out of this world!!! I love what I have seen here and I think Exampler Dames is now a new favorite for me!! You do inspire me to get some stitching done!!! Debby Littlefield

ReplyDeleteYour ATS looks great!! I thought the grass was never ending. I had this insane idea that mine would take only a week to do--I must have been smoking grass to have thought that!! LOL Your ATS is stunning.
